Abbotsford Heat’s Coach Jim Playfair doesn’t seem to like that last call. Apparently he thought the call was unfair, and when that happens, he turns into the Hulk. If I was the ref, I would be afraid, very afraid.
Here are the highlights from the game, the chaos all starts about 2 minutes in.
After the match, Playfair had this to say about the call:
“It was the wrong call by the referee,” said Playfair. “I think J.D. Watt is making a play, their goaltender comes out into the (faceoff) circle, (Watt) got pushed by a defenceman and (the goaltender) went down.
“By no means did he try and run this goaltender to deserve a five minute major so I disagreed with it and that’s it.”
