Brett Yormark, the Nets executive argued with a paper bag wearing fan at Monday’s Net’s game.
According to the fan – Chris Lisi of Middletown, N.J. – Yormark asked him why he was wearing the bag, and when he responded with a sarcastic, “Because the Nets are so good,” Yormark snapped at him
Yormark jabbed his finger toward the fan as he yelled at him for wearing the bag. After Lisi’s brother waved a pair of tickets toward Yormark, the CEO stomped away and the fans remained at their seats without any further problems.
The Nets are 7-63, on the verge of a record breaking season, breaking the wrong kind of record, for fewest wins in a season.
Yormak issued this kind of apology:
.
“I did not agree with the way this person expressed his opinion of our team last night and I let him know,” Yormark said in the statement. “It’s been a frustrating season for all of us, but I will continue to stand up for our players, our fans, and our organization.”
“We have an exciting future ahead and we appreciate all of our fans’ support,” Yormark said in the last line of the statement.
I guess Lisi had the right to wear his “Ain’t” bag during the game, but those do make you look like a douchebag. And you are blatantly copying a different team, so maybe think of something original to show your hatred towards your terrible team. You could be the “Nots” wear some ropes around your head, or neck…. Either one.
